Fix for the Divine Divinity music bug (download version)

Post by Raze_Larian »

The download version of Divine Divinity had an issue with some of the music not changing properly when moving between different areas above ground (such as leaving Aleroth), or certain pieces of music being missing, etc. This has now been fixed.

The Steam version has already been updated. For the GOG or anthology releases, you can download the updated files (div.exe, DivDialogSystem.dll, OsirisDLL.dll) from this Dropbox page and place them in the 'Divine Divinity' install folder. You can click on each of the files to download them individually, or there is a button at the top of the page to download them as a zip file, or add to your own Dropbox account (if applicable).

This update is directly from Larian, and will eventually get packaged so that the anthology version auto-updater can download and install it. I don't know if or when GOG will release an official patch.

Here is an alternate download, in a 7-Zip .7z archive (915KB), in case anyone has a problem with the Dropbox page.

Great news, thanks! Not many developers would extend their support so far!

Someone in the Divinity Original Sin kickstarter comments asked about this when DD was listed as an add-on, and I guess the reminder got them to make time for someone to track down the problem.
