A way to identify... Uhm... Er... Good point!

Rules... Ehm :D Nippy once posted a bunch of rules in a separate thread. It mostly detailed what would happen to you if you were naughty. That what you meant?

The rules are stated on the BotB page, just click on my sig to read them. Basically there in place not ruin people's gaming pleasure.

It mainly deals with the problem of player killing, if you've played UO you would understand. For those who haven't, the game went from being an on-line RPG to a stat bumping hack'n'slash affair.

Well for the identify thingy, I'd say we should stay pretty incognito for starters, and recognise eachother via names.
Then when we get stronger - and closer to create the ingame guild - we could look into possible uniform(s) - ei. dressing all in one colour or the likes. As for player models I don't know yet if Argyle will support these.

Also how do we get on line, like in groups according to timing or what?
That would mean we would be playing with the same people all the time right?

Well depending on the day - I can/would go online at many different times.
But there is nobody saying that you only can game with guild members - but I think that the safest :D
But also Argyle allows 2 characters, but there must be no(very little) metagaming and the characters can not know each other and/or be used as a "mule" for the first character.
So this opens up the possiblity of adventuring alone or in other groups of people.

Greetings Blades! :)

Bioware is still playing with the ideas around tattoos and crests, so it may be possible once the BotB are established to have your guild logo brought into the game as a shield crest/tattoo or something similar....as for custom player models, Argyle won't support anything custom at the start but will be introducing custom material once the original stuff is working. We'll sort of be playing it by ear I suppose...

Yes, you have two characters max. The idea behind this is twofold. One, you can use the second character to sort of experiment with different race/class/alignment combos that you normally wouldn't if you were restricted to one character, and two, it gives you another character to play immediately if your main character gets bumped :)

Due to financial reasons Buck has launched a "pop-behind" code that allows one pop-behind every 12 hours. This should be what you experience.

Money, Money, Money.
The pop is because Buck needs to keep this site up.
It is an expensive thing and the posters here are ok with it.

Second there goes Nippy's idea of BotB remaining a secret! :D

Xandax personally i would be travelling in a group, i don't want to get robbed and beat up on my first trip.

I also have a question on argyle, you can kill anybody any where right?
But do you get punished for it?
Also do you get punished for beating a guy or group to an inch of their life?? :D :D :D

*looking for loopholes in the rules* :D :D

AS for the secret part - Rhino is part of the DM/GM's at the site, and unless we (Gamebanshee) has been infiltrated by Argyleboard members, the secret is still wellkept. (The DM should be the only one knowing about the Blades as a group)

As for the group part - me to (with my main character that is), because me being a wizard, I'm not to popular to begin with in Argyle

And yes - you can kill anybody you want, but IIRC the DM's are trying to make somekind of "most wanted" list, so that they encode certain names/values in NPC scripts that would make a despiced person (one that kill all) a hunted person. Plus there will be other people in Argyle, so it will be known that you are killing anybody.
Also make sure you're way high level before trying this - would be stupid to run into a lvl. 20 barbarian as a lvl. 2-3 rogue (ei.)
So generally it is not a good idea to kill for the killing part, one need to RP or one will be hunted by all.

Well i am a paladin so i can't go killing people around any way.
But it was a try! :D
hmm so we don't have to explore in groups but it would be safer and easier.
Are there any other groups or just us?

Yes - there will be some NPC controlled Guilds (we were ofted to take over one of these when our members/leaders were over a certain level, but we opted for developing Blades ingame instead) and there is one PC controlled guild "Guild of Sin" wich looks nasty and should be avoided until one has gained some level, or we are travelling in a big groups :)

@Thorin:   Who says it is humans that will be killed ;)

Hey hey, human stew might be good.
But Thorin is cooking, i rather not eat at all :D :)

Sin?
BotB has a nemisis! :D
And we Paladins will have a good time when we cross them!

Also what if we are attack by them?
A Paladin can not run or can he?? :D

Well if attacked, we defend and destroy :D

But there should IMO be no reason to cross them, until we have established BoTB.

I don't think we should (currently, at least) advocate a guild war :)

Who is advocating a war?
I am advocating the destruction of the whole guild! :D :D
Plus i only bark, i have no bite. :D :)

Ah ok, so if we are attacked i want a promise from the leaders that i will be res. without any complaining!
Or else i will... i have no idea but i will think of something!! :D :D

I don't see why you would have a beef with Guild Sin at all - they are a group that will likely be working the Extortion trade, and other such shady dealings. I'm under the impression that BotB is more like an adventuring company, and I don't know why Guild Sin and BotB would have reason to clash....but I'm not a player ;)

Argyle is a PvP world, so anyone can be killed anywhere. Appropriate measures will be enabled to deal with all sorts of player-induced deaths that occur. It should be quite interesting...

And yes, your secret is still safe... :D

I'd expect any BG die-hard to be so conditioned to killing that type of baddies that they'd run off and do it in their sleep if not tied to the bed. ;)

Well, we don't have a beef with Sin or any others - just warning people to tread lightly when entering the World of Argyle at early levels.
A guild that mainly(only?) is evil will eventually have confrontation with others (and so far we have a great number of Pally) - and so it is best to be ready for such a possiblity :)

Sounds good about the secret part, it is always fun to scheme :D
