Lothander's Poison (spoiler maybe)

Post by HighElfSorceress »

So I encountered Lothander in Baldur's Gate, and he told me about the poison. I didn't believe him, then a little while later I got the message about being sick. I couldn't find him, so I checked the walkthrough on this site, and it said I'm supposed to talk to the diviner. I did that, but there was no option for me to ask about the poison. The walkthrough says to talk to the person at the Waterdeep temple or something, so I did that, and there was no option to ask about the poison there either. I assume this is because I told Lothander I didn't believe him and I wasn't going to help him, so he left. Is he hanging around somewhere in Baldur's Gate so that I can ask him again? Or do I just have to die from this poison eventually?
I would load a previous save if I could, but it was a long time ago and I don't have one from before talking to him.
Life is like a roll of dice. Sometimes you win, and sometimes a guy named Jimmy stabs you with a fork and steals your wallet.

The walkthrough mentions that Lothander waits at the Blade & Stars inn (SEast BGate), have you already checked for him there? Keep in mind that the Diviner and Temple of Umberlee won't have your antidote, you are supposed to ask them about breaking Lothander's geas. When it's broken, he'll give you instructions for getting the antidote.

If you can't find him (the NE area of Baldur's Gate and the Blushing Mermaid are also worth checking) then it's either back to the save prior to meeting him or start a new game
