So I rolled a 104…

Post by mrdeluxe »

…that is all. :D

I was watching Masterchef while rolling a Bard and up came the following roll:

STR: 17
DEX: 18
CON: 18
INT: 18
WIS: 15
CHA: 18

I would've taken a screenshot for posterity but I have no idea how to do that on Windows. Anyone know the odds of such a roll happening?

Anyway. Now I have an all powerful bard. I went with STR: 18, DEX: 18, CON: 16, INT: 18, WIS 16, and CHA: 18, which means that after the tomes, it will have 19 at everything except CON (17). I almost feel bad for having such a character.

…and I have this crazy idea to create a different character and abandon my god-like Bard/Blade. I think that I'm starting to prefer the character creation than the actual game…

That is incredible. The highest I ever got was a 96, and that was an elf ranger (I'm pretty sure this character has the highest minimum stats, giving you a better chance at higher numbers).

That is indeed amazing.
I once rolled 102 for a paladin, but that was using the Frabjous re-roller.
I was so pleased to roll 98 for an illusionist thief this week.
To get a screenshot I press FN + PRTSC and then in paint paste the image and save it as a jpg, but I think that if you gp into the ScnShot
folder you don't need to bother with paint.
Here's my game:

I don't have a PRTSC key on my keyboard. I'm on a Mac running windows in bootcamp. What's "gp intro the SenShot"?

I'm now trying to roll a Berserker, and it's incredibly hard getting even a 90! I think I'm spoiled with high-rolls, now… :(

If you are using the BG2 Game Engine, i.e. Tutu or BGT, you can use the Frabjous re-roller which rolls over and over again very quickly, saving the highest score as it does so. If you wanted to, you could leave it running overnight and you would be certain of getting a high score.
I don't. I limit myself to 1000 rolls when using it.
It can be found here:

Or google Frabjous re-roller

Not BGT evidently, all it does is keep increasing the delay number, it never actually does anything; and yes I was in windows mode with the settings as advised.

Disregard the above, seems when I wondowed it somehow the resolution got screwed. Tried again making sure it was 800x600 and it worked fine.

Hrm. If you're going to do that, there's also a cheat to give you max stats when you make your characters.

The reason that I sometimes use it is that all it does is that it speeds the rolling up and actually uses a roll that you have made.

I know about the cheat code and I also know how to edit the stats in Shadowkeeper.

Before I had web access I worked out for myself how to max stats using a mule carrying tomes, but quickly decided not to use it.

That's the only way that I know that works for the vanilla game, but somebody will probably inform me that there are other ways. People always want to find ways of beating the engine.

MrDeluxe, you can find instructions for taking screenshots on a Mac at http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screenshot-in-Mac-OS-X.

Thanks Lemmus. I know how to take a screenshot on a mac, just not on a mac running windows :)

Apparently it's: shift+fn+f11, or shift+alt+fn+f11…
