The one in the RPG section with a link to the free download of Torchlight?

..and why did it get moved/deleted?

(..or perhaps even this question should be in the "feedback" section?)

Err.. o_O -please disregard the "the" in the thread's title. :D

You just repeated a news item that's still on the front page. Posts like that (which usually further advertise kickstarters that we already cover more than enough) get deleted.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Oh, didn't realize it was on the front page.

Still, kind of silly to delete it. I'm sure plenty of people don't visit the front page that are interested in the forum. (..I don't.)

I did see that it was listed on the Torchlight portion of Gamebanshee (after the fact), but again - that most certainly doesn't do anything for someone who wasn't already interested in the game.

For something like this there really should be a multi-page alert.. something like a scrolling "Attention" header - perhaps as a part of the "Banshee Network" initial listing. It would be fine if it linked to the front page (and from there linked out to source).

The more people that see it, the more likely they are downloading it, the more likely they are coming back to gamebanshee for the walkthrough (..and at the very least - certainly more likely to simply engender good will).

Without the website-wide alert Gamebanshee is likely missing-out . ;)
