Haer'Dalis and Cernd Tactics

Post by MuDvAyNe0305 »

I'm thinking of trying these two out, as I never have used any of them. Of course IF I use these it will change my team lineup(If you read my other topic you know what it is). So just wondering what are the best ways to use these two. AND is Haer'Dalis capable of being a backup-mage?

Two words, cannon fodder.

But seriously tho if you're goin for a team based on power then these two should be the last choice. And as for use'n HD as a backup mage i'd say no, almost any other char that casts wizard spells would do a hell of alot better. Since he's a bard he can only cast up to level 6 spells.
I'm not much of a fan for druid spells but if ya want em jahera can cast more, has better stats, and can wear armor. Werewolf shapechange is nice, but more for rp purposes than power i'd say.

If you're look'n for a power team use the evil folks, they are always alot better than the good and neutral counterparts, unless you just can't live w/o druid spells (which you can, very easily).

Cernd can cast more spells than Jaheria, not the other way around (Jaheria has the Harper's Call, though, but there are at least two Wands of Resurrection available from start and then the spells Raise Dead, Resurrection...).

A bard is no mage, that's true. But, should you use his spells wisely, he'll make a formidable tank for those extra tough battles. A bard on Tenser's with Mirror Image, Blur, Spirit Armor, Stoneskin and Haste is, IMO, the best fighter you could ever get (especially Blades). And then the ability to use wands, identify items, use instruments, sing songs, pick pockets...

I have played a party with myself being a halfling swashbuckler and Viconia, Cernd and Haerdalis. If you have played through the game once you don't really need any fighters because of the knowledge you have. This party is very versataile and was alot of fun!
