Which DL must buy?
Which DL must buy?
I played the original years ago..and i found it very interesting and a bit confusing (complete quests sometimes is very hard to find where u must go)..now i swee there is a new version of the game in sale..Dangeon lords MMXII....but i read that made some changes (semplification) in levelling system... but i would play this title on my native resolution 1680 x 1050..so what version i must buy? the version i played years ago, was given to me by a cousin and now is wasted...so i ask here some info about...what drm uses?? cuz i read on GG that there is a 3d party drm.. thanks all for help and sry for my bad english
I don't know about DRM. I didn't have to use a disk. It was through game fly I think.
The collector's edition is just about as good as mmixx. I think if you like the basic game it doesn't matter what version.
mmixx has some good little things like fixing the vale of ruin spots where you get stuck in the floor. The mini map is also better so it is easier to find your way say in the naga temple.
All in all I vote both. If you like the game you'll like either. Most people don't like Dungeon Lords but I have a soft spot for it!

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
The character system is much simpler in MMXII. Instead of having skill requirements for each class (that might take you forever to achieve), you just have class requirements.
I'm with Claudius that you could go with the CE or MMXII. I like the game mechanics better in the CE, but MMXII has the better interface. If you really want to play in widescreen, then MMXII is your only option.
I'm not sure if there's a big co-op community for Dungeon Lords. Co-op hasn't really worked well in any version of the game.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

As far as bugs go: I think there are more in MMXII than in CE. At least, I encountered more in MMXII.
