don`t forget regeneration
don`t forget regeneration
You can make your `ickle fighter invincible with this tip
First off I shall tell you that 2 chars in my party are Aerie and Viconia
Secondly: They both have 3 memorised spells of Regeneration
Thirdly: I`m considering letting Viconia borrow Vhailor's helm for a while (you`ll see why in a minute)
if you spend all your regeneration spells on yer main fighter and improved haste him, his rate of regeneration will be so fast it ain`t even funny. You can do this within 3 rounds and so you basically have 7 rounds for all your killing needs before they wear off.
I sent my chars into the marching mountains and sent my guy into that room upstairs with all the Fire Giants all by himself. suffice to say, I used no potions and kept the rest of my party safe cos they didn`t have to heal him. Perhaps I might not have felt the need to cast Hardiness on him (only once mind) if I had 2 viconia's. I would have had 9 regens.
It is unwise to spend more than 3 rounds casting regens as the tradeoff is that the first castings will begin to wear off in battle anyway

I see your point: with 3 regeneration spells cast at an improved hasted character, he will regenerate 112 HP per round. I don't know if the boots of speed will double this amount or no, but I think 112 HP is enough....
Nice tactic, Dark Rook. And welcome to the board.

problem is poison and area effect will also do double damage per round with haste on....
I know that people have conducted tests and regen items DONT stack, but did not know the spell does stack...good going. say what happens when your char has a regen itme already?
does it stack on top of the existing regen?

Sorry for the question, but I've never heard of regeneration spell.
Is it a priest spell (level?), a mage spell (level?) or scroll and where do you find them. Since now I've only known of potion of regeneration, but I think you don't refer to them.
But maybe they could work the same ?
I don't have ToB, only SoA with latest patch.
Thank you.

Its a priest spell- I think either level 6 or 7. All I know is that Anomen has it. I don't think it has anything to do with ToB.

Another nice trick!
On the other side, consider that you're using SIX seventh level spells, and yet the enemies are still in full health!
With a different choice, maybe you could have wasted them all....

whoa whoa whoa guys!!! don`t start barking up the wrong tree here.
Improved haste doesn`t improve your regeneration, I merely added that because regen wears off pretty quickly and so you need to take down those baddies QUICK.
(unless.... )

Regen items *do* stack--if they're the same kind. Two regen rings will stack. A ring and an ioun stone won't--you'll only get the benefits of the stronger regen item, the ring.Originally posted by UserUnfriendly
