Help with hacking Sorc

Can anyone tell me how to give my sorceress the ability to cast more lvl. 9 spells? I got kinda ticked off at not getting a separate spell page for lvl 10 spells so I figured just double the amount of lvl 9 spells I can cast. I've given her 12 casting points for her lvl 9 spellbook page via SK but it hasn't worked.

Perhaps when you increase your charisma level?

You can change the number of wizard spells per level with SK, but the problem with this is that the game resets it every time you level up your PC. The only long-lasting methods I know of to increase your PC's spells is either by editing the MXSPLSRC.2DA file, or by creating an item which will give your PC extra spells of the desired level (I've done the latter).

In either case, check out TeamBG's site for utilities and FAQ's for doing this type of hacking.

use any item ability and edwins family amulet???

The problem with Edwin's amulet is that the bonus spells it grants you won't carry over to a projected image. Plus, it only grants you two bonus spells per level, and it sounds like Ode to a Grasshopper would like a few more than that for level 9.

Yeah, about 6 more would be nice. Why they couldn't just have had a separate page for lvl 10 spells is beyond me.

I need the amulet slot for the Amulet of Power.

You could just use IEEP to give the add spell ability to the amulet

ode, if you goning to cheat, cheat a lot...

at level 40, tob xp cap remover,, your next level is at -1 and you cannot raise up any more elvels. then you can and only then can you be assured of not losing extra spells. sorry, only way, short of editing devices...

The problem is that I was playing BG on a computer that wasn't internet capable, and therefore couldn't download IEEP. Now that I'm getting a new computer(significantly better) I can.

@UserUnfriendly, My sorc is already hacked to pieces. I won't say how because it's embarassing, but she's responsible for 98% of my party's total XP, and most of that is from melee. This is in a party with Korgan, mind you.
