Jester chain

Post by lompo »

I was wandering if a fighter-mage or a cleric-mage could wear the jester chain an still be able to the mage spells (should be supposed to be used by bards who use mage spells).
Thanks

Unfortunately, the Jester's chain disables mage-spell-casting. :(
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

The only armours that leave mage spells enabled are elven chain and the drow armours.

It seems pretty strange that an armour that was designed for a bard and used extensively by a bard, at least according to its description, would disable spellcasting when worn by a bard. Wonder if someone screwed up on the item coding?
Personally, I think they should have enabled spellcasting for the Jester Chain +4, but in order to limit who uses it restrict it solely to the Jester Kit. The way I see it is that the Jester is the least appreciated and/or used bard kit, and definitely the weakest in terms of battle ability (both Skalds and Blades get To Hit and Damage bonuses upon creation), so why not offer an armour to enhance the class a little bit?
Plus, it looks pretty damn cool...
