fallen paladins

Post by pooburgler »

which .2DA file would I need to edit to prevent ever getting a Fallen Paladin status when my rep drops? I just created a custom Anti-Paladin kit based around the Cavalier complete with CE alignment etc but can't seem to get rid of the Fallen Paladin problem.

Changing your alignment to evil will do the trick.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Nope, can't find the file, so I think it's coded into the exe file - so there's no easy way of changing it. You can try scripting it, but I'm not really sure how to.

not sure either. I know the TeamBG folks have an anti-paladin kit in their TDD mod and haven't heard of any difficulties with it becoming a fallen paladin. I'll try posting there.

Would it not be easier to just change the global when you become fallen?

Or since you have already succesfully made the kit, why not just make it a fighter kit? You could grant him all the abilities with the kiteditor, could you not? That way, you'd be rid of the "fallen" problem, as the game would consider your antipaladin a fighterkit and not a paladin one.

No, the kit editors only edits kit abilities, not the abilities of the main class, so if I were to make it a fighter kit, it doesn't allow me to edit in paladin main class abilities such as turn undead, +2 vs saving throws, immunites, etc. There is a solution, although a tedious one: make sure my rep doesn't fall below 6. That's a pain when playing an evil party but I'm going to check for a solution with TeamBG's forums.
