The Swashie, dual throwing and daggers

Post by psicow »

G'day i was planning to get back in BG2 with the TDD and ascenion mods now out. I thought it would be nifty to try and emulate one of my favourite characters from the movies. So far i've come up with a Swashbuckler dual wielding throwing daggers.

My questions are:

1. do +1 to +5 ordinary throwing daggers exist? (i know there are 2 'named ones' +2 and +3 respectively)

2. If no for above will the Boomerang and firetooth be enough to hurt all the monsters in the game? (aside from special cases like golems)

3. Can a dual wielder dual throw both daggers? (this makes or breaks the character  )

also which alignment to you believe to be most like 'a mercenary with morals?

Thanks

No, there are no +4 or +5 throwing daggers.

You will be unable to hurt certain enemies in the game with mere +3 weapons.

I didnt even know you could dual wield throwing weapons. I had a barbarian with 3 in dual wield 2 in axe and 2 in scimitar. i had the defender in my off hand and it wouldant let me put the azureedge in my regular one. it said something like no launcher avaible in while off hand in use :(

+5 throwing daggers

The cloak of the stars lets you make +5 throwing daggers, but they only last for 24 hours, and you can only make 5 at a time (although maybe more if you have more than one cloak)

I think the cloak makes darts, not throwing daggers.

Yes, they're darts.

You can't equip any throwing weapons while dual-wielding. As for your "mercenary with morals" alignment, go Chaotic Good.
