Yoshi and Jan dilemma in chpt.2
i'm not sure with guy i should keep. jan jansen is a good thief/illusionist but yoshi is a fighter type guy. should i choose yoshi cause i'm thinking of dual-classing him into a fighter. will making him dual classed give him the extra edge over jan jansen?
If you dual Yoshi, you're going to want another thief in the party to deal with traps, because it will take awhile for him to recover his thieving abilities. Jan has cool equipment, special ammo which stuns groups of enemies, and can cast spells, too. I'd say, Keep them both!
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

DEPENDS ON CLASS
If you're a fighter type (ranger, barbarian whatever) take Jan- his illusion, abjuration, alteration spells complement aries offensive arsenal nicely, but remember, he IS funny, and DOES have cool goggles, but to be honest...his bolts are useless. His set snares ability is also woefully poor compared to Yoshi.
If you're a spellcaster, definately take Yoshimo. no question. He's got STR 17 for christs sake! he also has better DEX, CON and CHA, while Jan's only got him beat in the INT and WIS stakes, hardly the prime requisites of a theif.

Love and Hope and Sex and Dreams are Still Surviving on the Street
Yoshimo will *never* get the edge over Jan. And his thief skills are spread in the most stupid way - a Bounty Hunter who can't even lay traps!? (At least he moves silently while failing those traps). Either keep them both or keep Jan!

I'm with the others, here: stick with Jan. He's the best thief in the game, a good backup mage, and has a special missile that can really come in handy when you lower the magical resistance of monsters.
Not to mention the fine writing and atypical personality that went into his making. Yoshimo is colorless by contrast.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
