Arrows

Post by davfra »

Can anyone tell me if it`s possible to buy any decent arrows in Icewind Dale? I just finished Baldurs Gate and my party were equiped with arrows +2 and they walked through the opposition.
I`m on the Dragons Eye stage of Icewind Dale and, apart from a few arrows of fire, all I`ve been able to buy are the standard arrows, which are nowhere as effective.
Same thing for bullets +1.
Cheers,
Davfra

There are a few merchants later in the game who sell magic arrows. But the quantities are limited. The general rule of thumb is use fire/ice/magic arrows only when necessary or you run out.

the high archer in the dragon's eye level 5 gives some nice arrows (and a nice bow) and you can find arrows of the hand in the severed hand (wich are +2 arrows)

At least in IWD, most creatures can be damaged by normal arrows, and there are plenty of good bows. My fighter-thief is currently mowing everything down with the Messenger of Sseth bow.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.
