Most powerful people in the Realms
I'm new to the realms, who are the most powerful, influencial and famous characters in the realms?
The Drow rule supreme!
Szzas Tam is a really powerful wizard. Piergeiron is a Lord of Waterdeep, a fighter-type I think. The Simbul is a Chosen of Mystra, and a very powerful sorceror. Khelben 'Blackstaff' Arunsen is another Lord of Waterdeep, and yet another extremely powerful mage. That's about the extent of my limited knowledge
Lost Souls: A bereft lover. A masterless familiar. Friends gone their separate ways. Time marches on, and destiny heralds the meeting of comrades old and new. Can they find what they're seeking? Or will the search bring them only more pain?
Szass Tam is a Zulkir of Necromancy, meaning he is the head wizard of his school in Thay : a powerful magic using nation. He also turned himself into a lich to prolong his life.
Manshoon is also a powerful wizard. Along with Fzoul Chembryl, a powerful cleric formerly of Bane and Cyric but now of Iyatchu Xvim, they lead the Zhentarim : a powerful criminal network that wants to rule the realms.
An additional question: Have Manshoon or Fzoul ever featured in a novel?

No signature at this point in time
Yes, IIRC they were in the prelude to the Time of Troubles trilogy (shadow lords or some such). Basically involving the power struggle between the two and a group of beholders and also in the two Spellfire books. Szass Tam also had almost his own book (one of the harper series)Originally posted by josh

But IMO Manshoon and Szass Tam are the best villians, and they should have more books about them.

Umm...craig, I think he meant that Drizzt is no way near as powerful as a chosen of Mystra, rather than the other way around.
