entry into theives guild if choosing Bodhi's side?

Post by durga »

thanks for your info in advance,

I'm doing the evil side for the first time and chose to side with Bodhi, I've completed the whole Aran Linvail theives guild quest at the top of the Dock's map, what I'm wondering is if you can get into the other theives hideout area in the south of the Dock's map. I've talked with the guy who sells stuff, and tried to pick his pocket for a key, and killed him, but no key. The doors remain locked, with the you-can't-pick-the-lock message.

If you're talking about Mae'Var's guildhall, the only way you can gain entrance to that is through the quest given by Renal Bloodscalp. Since you're in Ch. 3 by now, I would think you're out of luck.

Either reload to a save still in Ch. 2, or just forget it. There's not much else you can do to get it.

Edit: I believe you need to do Maevar's place in Chapter 2, if siding with Bodhi.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

hmm

ah, I had no idea that I could sneak my way into that place even if I chose Bodhi's side, you mean before you talk with bodhi right, so thus still in ch. 2. ah well, such good experience for a theif though. I'm playing a kensai.

oh, one other question, I took Nalia with me into spellhold, etc.., but chose to take on Imoen, and now Nalia is just sitting in that main area. Her dialogue when kicked out says she will remain there until you need her. I'd rather she find a way back to her keep, when I get out of spell hold, will the game take her back in the D'arnise keep?

thanks again,

If you leave someone in Spellhold (actually, Bodhi's Gauntlet), the NPC is stuck there for the rest of SoA. If you have ToB, you can get an NPC from Spellhold, but forget it if you only have SoA.

If you don't pick up Imoen in spellhold, she is eventually able to leave it (she disappear) and propably I heard she goes to Copper Coronet.
Actually I left Nalia, and although she said she was going to DeArnise Keep, she has gotten stuck there.
