Winter Games
Winter Games
I have been watching the winter games and i wonder is there a lot of interest elsewhere.
I think there great and anything to do with sport is for me 'the best entertainment'
What the most popular with people skiing,hockey,skating,bobsled?
Aussies won 2 gold 'we even won by skating last!'

I enjoy the Games (especially skeleton
) but unfortunately I'm always frustrated at the national bias that goes on. I'm talking about vote trading; judges giving flawless performances low scores while scoring up their own country's athletes' poor performances...I think the Games have really been marred by that kind of thing in recent years, and it really takes a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me
"I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
"So do all who live to see such times; but that is not for them to decide. All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you."

i really can't stand the winter games.
first off, figure skating and any event involving a subjective opinion is not a sport. it may take a great athlete, btu it is not a sport. this includes gymnastics and diving from the summer games.
my next big complaint about the winter games is that for the most part it is nothing but a bunch of rich spoiled brats, whose parents could afford ski lessons since theywere 3. it takes a WHOLE lot more money to train for the winter games then it does to be a runner, jumper, thrower, soccer player, wrestler, etc.

Germans --> Beer --> medals
I'd just like to point out that the Germans took home the most medals, and also the most gold medals.
I only point this out as yet another indication of the beneficial aspects of German beer. It saved Munich from the black plague, it makes those who drink it studly and puissant, it can make a gold medalist out of you, too!
Drop by my brewery any time, and I'll give you a tour.

@Ysh......
*grins* Indeed they did
I guess it is personal preference....I tend to prefer the faster, more dangerous sports like luge, ski jumping and bob sledding

I like watching the figure skating... regardless of the fact that it's competitive. My favourite part is always the exhibition gala, the skaters are more relaxed, they can experiment and their personalities show more
As for the rest of the winter Olympics, I pay very little attention to it. And yes, curling is a bizarre sport

Who, me?!?
I think the whole games is fantastic and if britain wins a medal in culrling then good luck to them 'gold medal is a gold medal'.
I miss 'eddie the eagle then english ski jumper' he was FUN TO WATCH. He was something else and brought humour to the olympics.
Anyone see the comic duo 'roy and HG'.
Subjectice judging is controversial and makes people talk about the sport. I think it has a place.
Australia is making a bid for 2010 WG at smiggin holes.
