Turn Undead question

Post by Aubreii »

What does the Turn Undead ability really do?

My understanding is that it fears the undead creatures and occasionally if the paladin or Cleric is powerful enough it can actually kill them.

I have never seen it work though (granted I have not used it much). How often does it work? Does it mostly just work against creatures that are much lower level than the Paladin/cleric?

I don't know if creatures make a savingtrow, I do know that it's realy powerfull.
I made Amonem turn undead, and the vampires just died (or something don;t know if a vampire can die)

Just experiment with it!
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

pretty good thing

You must try it out!
It's really a blessing to have a pala or somebody who can use turn undead in your party.
I happened to have 3 chars turning undead in firekaargs dungeon and it was so funny to watch all those shadowthings and walking bones die by doing nothing more than standing there (or at least they were unable to attack cause they were that scared). Good tactic: have one char turn them, and the others make a happy beat 'em up without getting hurt themselves :D :D
Actually it works similar to find traps. You activate it once and the char turns them away (except of course you give order to attack or have a script that gets them attacking).

Test it with stron clerics or so, really funny :D

Turning Undead

Basically, if you are high enough level, you can kill (or control) any undead.

Well, My current character is a Paladin (cavalier kit) and he hasn't had much success turning undead so far.

In previous games I have tried to turn undead with other characters as well, with limited success.

I am going to experiment a bit more and see whar happens.

Depending on your level and the level of the undead in question they are destroyed (controlled), affected by fear or not affected.

On low levels it doesn't do much, on high levels it's a killer. Best example is the shade lord area, I went there with a high level neutral C/T and he simply blasted everything.

(Spoiler)

After taking out the shade lord just place your high level Cleric (if good or neutral) near the undestroyed shadow altar and go to bed. He'll destroy the respawning shadows all night long. :D

A real swedish drink is wath we call it "hem bränt" in english home made. i dont know about other ****ries but here in sweden
or at least the state skåne ( the most southest part of sweden)
you can buy this as easy as driving a car.

But to the point take a big glass at least 33-50 cl fill half the glass with Red bull and the other half "hem bränt" (60-80 % alcohole)

I have too warn you it can bee hard to walk after drinking this drink and it doesent take weary long for it to kick in either.

And Yeah "hem bränt" is not legal and i have never done this my self

I would like to welcome you to this board, but I don't think you realy understand what this board is about.
It's ok to go a little off topic (but it's prefered not) but talking about drinks when whe're talking about a computer game goes a little bit to far for me.....

(*ahem* back to work, gentlemen!)

@ Aubreii:

My pc Undead Hunter was almost useless when he tried to turn undead. But when Anomen --level 15 or near there-- did it, skeleton warriors were falling apart one by one!

That's why I like this guy --finally! I think he's a better cleric than Aerie.

Cheers
