I was just wondering if I should load Heart of Winter prior to completing Icewind Dale?

You might find it worth your time - it fixes some bugs.

It also gives you an expanded list of spells and better resolutions, the 640x480 can be a bit drab ;)
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.
