I cannot play ToB

Post by MacHurto »

I have just finish BG II and installed ToB without problems (full install for both BG and ToB). However, when I tried to play, it just tried to run the program for a while (2 or 3 minutes) and then told me that it needed the original CD or something like that (I don't remember exactly). Which CD is it waiting for? I have the original ToB CD. Can someone help me?

Initially it wants So-A disk 2, after installing TOB it wants the TOB disk.

Well, it is the same problem with both of them. Do you know if there is some kind of patch for ToB?

Well, in fact, when Nalia reached level 18 yesterday she won a level 9 spell slot, so it seems that in ToB it does not matter how intelligent you are. You can have all kind of spells (quite normal, it is a computers game). Sorry for bother you with this useless question :-)

And thanks for the link. I'll maybe use it ;-)

Nalia has leel 9 spells but she cannot cast them! :-(

Is there any "legal" way of increasing her (and Imoen) Int to 18 without using SK?

Strange... I've never had a problem with any party members casting level 9 spells, once they had them scribed into their spellbook. If you're talking about learning level 9 spells or casting them from scrolls, you can temporarily raise Nalia's INT with potions of Genius or Mind Focusing.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

She has no problems learning level 9 spells. However, after resting 8 hours, she has not yet memorize them. Maybe is a problem with the Wish spell...

Golden Ioun Stone.
Unfortunately it'll only work for one of them at a time...

You can squeeze a point of intelligence out of Lum the Mad's machine in the Watcher's Keep. Hold on to all of the handwritten notes you find laying around.

Thanks for both indications. However I realized yesterday that the only problem was that I didn't actually slept 8 hours, because someone surprised the party (some elite Orcs). There is no problem with level 9 spells and Int 17 :-)

But anyway, increase MY Int with the Golden Ioun stone would be a good idea... ;-D
