Good point. Unfortunately I can't edit the poll anymore... only moderators can do that?Originally posted by frogus
why don't you add Lawful, Neutral and Chaotic in as well...because of the way BG2 is made it's very hard to be evil, but the difference between Chaotic and Lawful might be interesting.

neutral, so i can make an informed opinion on which type of planetars to take, since I plan on taking viccy this time, I can keep celestial planetars for holy smite immunity, but evil turn will still allow me to have the limited wish low wisdom exploit, to create a gang of vampires under your control.
but seriously, when I get to hell, I plan to killing saverok in a royal rage, thus turn evil, for the str bonus. and only then will I summon my familiar, to have an imp to torture.
thus really I am evil, since I only play neutral to hide my jolly roger, until I get to the treasure ship areas, and then hoist my true colors, the skull and crossbones, only when it is most profitable for me to do so....
this is the multiple alignment, but basically we are all evil nasty scoundrels, biding our time....

Ahhhh, finally a competent opinion on being evil. Starting neutral is certainly an acceptable measure, then let your char find out about about his true intentions and the vast emotional riches of evil behaviour, the closer you get to hell the more you can feel it all and finally all erupts into a violent, greedy, selfish, proud and wrathful bloodshed down where your true destiny lies.

As the god of murder that will be you have little choice, see you bear responsibility for a divine protfolio and you can't just wander around the world and do goody goody things while ignoring your duties.
Well, it's difficult to vote based on plain good, neutral and evil.
I, for one, use to play Chaotic Good, which differs a lot from lawful or neutral good. And chaotic good means I have shaped my own ethics, and pay no respect for the laws of others. And I think chaotic aligned characters trigger different reactions from party members. It's a whole story.
If there is any moderator out there, please help Moleman to edit his poll, making us happy all!
Cheers

Nope, we're the good guys. See, we only pretend to have fun with evil chars because anyone else would make fun of us if we didn't. But we really feel very very bad about it and can't sleep at night.
In fact the other ones who pretend to play good but in truth all play evil chars and lie to us about it are the baddy baddy ones.

Like it has been pointed out, this poll lacks options of chaotic, neutral and lawful. Despite that, it gives the impression of what kind of players we are, good or bad. And I have to admit that suprisingly few are (playing) evil...
BTW I think in this point it would be easier to make a whole new poll with options lawful, neutral, chaotic than to modifiy this one (as quite a many people have already voted).

Because I don't usually take Imoen in my party it doesn't mean I'm evil, Littiz.
Now, the only evil NPC so far in my party has been Korgan. Why? Ask Phantom Lord. The fool convinced me that Korgan is probably the funniest NPC of BG... and you know what? He was right!
And that's all the clues and facts about my alignment. Now, I still claim I'm Chaotic Good...
