Fallout (2) forum?
Fallout (2) forum?
I knoiw there's already been a thread about this, but i don't know how it ended, so i'm asking BuckSatan: PLEASE make a Fallout (2) forum. It's as good a Bioware/Black Isle RPG as the rest on this site and it rocks. (gotta love that game: you can shoot ppl in the nuts. (er..."groin") With a shotgun. From a metre away. And it isn't even a shooter!) If you will i'll sell my soul to you. (No, i don't really think you are Satan, but who knows?)

Older games - escpially Fallout questions can be asked in the vaiouse other forums, seeing as almost all of us have played these games
I usually take one game at a time, striving to give the most comprehensive information on the web as the games are released. If there is a "lull" where none of our games will be released for quite some time, I *may* add older games (I did this for Vampire: TM), but not likely.

I receive a lot of requests for additional forums, but unless they are going to receive a fair amount of traffic and usage, I don't add them. Even though these forums are MySQL-driven, we still have to keep our server overhead to a minimum. Adding forums that may only get 10-20 posts in them over a 6 month period is only going to hurt the performance of the other high traffic forums.
Would a forum for the Fallout series get some use? Maybe initially, but for how long? The games are quite old now and there probably won't be many people buying/playing them for the first time anymore. For the most part, it's really up to all of you. If a majority of you want a Fallout forum, I'll add one.

What about a more general forum for older RPG games, like "Other RPGs" or "Older RPGs". I believe too many of us go back to play an older game every once in a while.

Umm...because noone ever uses that forum either? I'm looking at it, and on the first page there are threads with last posts that date back to september. If there was an "older RPGs" forum, people with an interest in one game would stick around and maybe answer some questions from another game they remember playing - but perhaps even that forum wouldn't get too much use...Originally posted by Xandax
I agree - if you have a question about a RPG, and there isn't a specific forum for that game, why not use the RPG-forum?

Instead of having two "low-usage" forums (RPG and Old RPG) - wouldn't it just be better to use the RPG for "old" RPGs?Originally posted by Kameleon

I still would like there to be a Fallout forum. My suggestion: Get rid of Vampire: Redemption. A lot more people are playing the Fallout games than that one. Fallout has a lot more reason to be on GB than that one. Also, there will be a Fallout 3 in the future, supposedly, I hope, I pray...
