Slayer problem
Slayer problem
I've just started ToB, just to see what it's like... I created a cleric (evil) of Talos. When Ilassera at the beggining of the game attacks me I shapeshift into slayer. But when I return to normal human form I still lose hit points and eventually die!
Also in the message window I see a message that says something like this: "You feel losing control..." or something like this and I'm in the human (normal) form!
Can somebody tell me what should I do?
"...one ring to rule them all..."
Do you have a savegame from before this incident? Have you tried re-loading it and trying the Slayer change again? Does the problem repeat?
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

It sounds like a bug - do you have any third-party mods loaded?

Hm, I don't have the Ascension mod installed, but I'm guessing it may be causing your problem. If you have cheats enabled, you can try holding your cursor over your PC and pressing CRTL+R to clear up the problem. Warning: This will also remove any beneficial effects from spells that are currently active - such as Protection from Evil, Chaotic Commands, etc.

IIRC, there was a bug at ascension that made you lose HP as the slayer even after going back to human form
This bug has already been solved in the latest versions of ascension.
So, Install a newer version

Being an Evil Overlord seems to be a good career choice. It pays well, there are all sorts of perks and you can set your own hours. However every Evil Overlord I've read about in books or seen in movies invariably gets overthrown and destroyed in the end. I've noticed that no matter whether they are barbarian lords, deranged wizards, mad scientists or alien invaders, they always seem to make the same basic mistakes every single time. Therefore, if I ever happen to become an Evil Overlord, ...
