I Cant't import my BG1 Characters!!!

Hi, I just finished Playing BG1 That new pack with the Original Saga and Tales of the Sword Coast all in three CD's, after that I Installed BG2 (Full install) and when I tried to import my old characters from BG, it wasn't possible, I selected the option "Import" in Character menu, it asked if I wnated to import a Saved game or a Character file, when I select saved game nothing appears in the menu to be selected, and when I select "Character file" it shows characters that were NOT the ones I used in BG. Please help me with this.

You need to copy your BG1 character files to the BG2 characters folder, first. The same applies to any BG1 saved games - copy these to the BG2 save directory.

Copy the file (from the characterfolder in BG1) that's called 'char1' and move it to the characterfolder in BG2. Char1 is your pc, with the xp that you get from killing Sarevok.
