ok, so i just beat SoA and loved it. now i'm in ToB and here are my questions:
1. In the begining when i'm in the sphere of Bhaal, if i let the spirit of my fate summon all the characters but then not except them in my party, will they be stuck there or will i encounter them in other places as well?
2. Also i already have 6 people in my party, if i give up one of them for someone new, will i be able to get em back? or are they lost for good?
3. does it matter who's soul brings Sarevok back, mine or Imoens?
and 4. could you guys tell me if Edwin is any good?
Thanks a lot guys
Starting Party??? Edwin?

Hi!
1. All characters you summon will stand in the pocket plane, and this is the only way to get them. you can't meet them other places.
2. They will also stand in the pocket plane. Except Sarevok who will dissaper if you put him out of your party
3. I have never tried Sarevok taking a part imoens soul, but it doesn't matter if he takes some of yours
4. I personally think Edwin is a good mage and i think you shold take him with you.

something funny goes here
It matters only for the conversations between Sarevok and Immie if you choose to give a piece of her.Originally posted by Eusabian

well then here is my dillema,
my party is made up of:
Me -- lev. 20 fighter
Minsc -- lev. 20
Anomen -- lev 7 fighter -- lev. 17 cleric
Nalia -- level 15 mage
Arie -- whom i'm romancing. Lev 13 mage -- lev 13 cleric
Immie - level i dont remember but she's not too hot.
so, out of these i am not willing to give up Minsc, Nalia, or Arie. That means that Immoen and Anomen are expandable.
presently i am thinking of keldorn instead of Anomen and Edwin (if he's good) instead of Immie.
so, what characters would you replace those two with?
or should i keep them?

Well, for me it's a hard thing to say, but... Edwin is a better
MAGE than Immie. That's for sure.
He has LOTS, and LOTS of spells, I think 3 more/level!
But Immie is in part thief, and doesn't lose spell schools,
while Edwin does. Also she has much more HPs and she's good.

Edwin is definitely a must-have. He is the best mage BY FAR. However in Imoen & Nalia you have two very similar characters. I personally prefer Imoen but you can choose whichever one you like to drop. Bear in mind however that Imoen is a far better thief than Nalia - you have other mages to make up for the difference in mage levels, but you don't have another thief.
I would drop both of them and get Edwin & Jan.
I also believe that Keldorn is far better than Anomen. I absolutely hate Anoweenie (although Keldorn can be quite obnoxious too). You may be losing your best cleric, however you gain a better fighter and besides Keldorn's Dispel Magic ROCKS.

One suggestion.....Get Sarevok. He is better than the other fighters you can have at this point in the game.
Edwin is the best mage I have ever used. I would trade either Nalia or Imoen for him. You won't even miss who you drop. I would drop Nalia, because Imoens is a moore all around character in my opinion.
Then I would cut Anomen for Sarevok.
Just my 2 cents.
For the record, Keldorn is a mage killing machine.
