New Party

Post by Slash »

Hi !

I need your help :)

I don't know what kind of Class I should choose. (solo)

For more information:

My Party will look like this :

Viconia(100%, cause I want a Romance!), Edwin(100%), Korgan, Jaheira and Jan.
Im not Sure , taking Jaheira and Jan.

And here are my Mainchar favourites;

Kensai/Mage
Fighter/Mage ( Combiclass or Multiclass ?)
Fighter/Mage/Thief
Sorcerer (the better Mage, you have more Spells for one Day)

I don't like to play a Monk, .. ;)
I don't like to play such a Multiplayer Party (you choose your NPCs)

And, when the 6/7. Chapter begins, I will install ToB and play it to the end.

Well Slash, welcome to the forums! Lots of great ppl here.

As for you're party, Jaheria and Vic will clash, just so you know. Jan is HILARIOUS, You might want to consider taking Anomen for a back up fighter/cleric and for comic relief :D

Kensai mage is VERY strong at medium levels, you have to adjust that the class stops being a fighter and becomes a mage at high levels.
Fighter/Mage multis are also quite strong. A little more balanced, have access to a few more things but won't be as strong as a mage as the Kensai Mage.

And what do you mean by installing ToB in chapter 6/7? Why not just install it from the beginning? It won't affect the game at all... except for watchers keep.
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

Thanks for the welcome !

Ok, there are 2 fav. left.

Kensai/Mage ( Kensai (13)) ?
or
figher/Mage (also fighter 9-13)

Well, you can beat the game with the weakest Party, u can get...so it just will be interesting.

Anyway, thanks for helping(my english isn't good :( )

If u choose to dual a Kensai to a mage, u should dual at L 12. Since u play solo. Also if u dont have played solo before, u could play a Fighter/Mage/Theif. They are rellay affective ;)

Oh, sorry!

My fault.

With "solo" I mean starting a new Game.

But, u mean playing "Solo" just the Mainchar ?! Oh , ok... lol

Nah, I want to play with a party :D

Viconia, Edwin are for sure. I will take them. I dont know about the rest.

But, what would be the best Char for a SOLO game ? :D

Well, if you have Viconia and Edwin, you might as well make it matched set and throw in Korgan and Saverok. Maybe Jan, too.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I'm actually playing (chapter 2-3) with:
kensai (to be dualled to mage at 12 or 13),
Viconia, Korgan, Jaheira and Jan.
I'm keeping the group with 5 to level up faster.
They are doing well, and maybe I'll try Sarevok in ToB.
If you want Edwin (and Jan, you need a thief(?)), why don't you try an Inquisitor, they really rock!!!!

It's great, but it's better suited for a small party or solo, because with a big party (6) your level will be quite low.

i have finished tob once and soa twice and i want to finish it a third romancing aerie. who should be the final and third member of this party. i want to keep my party small because i want lots of xp

elven thief/mage
aerie

i want to use saverok as the third member when i get to tob but who should be the temporary replacement of his until then.

i was thinking of either jaheria cos i want a druid in there or halidais so i can kill him halfway through the game
