possible exploit...cursed berserkergang sword as substitute for berserker enrage?

Post by UserUnfriendly »

From the fertile mind of User...

you know the cursed berserkergang sword in the prominade when you bash mencar and co?

well, I suspect the enrage curse ability that the weapon has is identical to berserker enrage, the good enrage, not the sucky Barbi enrage, (does NOT protect from imprison, minsc is special exception, I think.)

so if you play kensai kit, pure, and you want to hoarde prot from undead scroll, this might work on certain monsters who like "trap the soul" and in underdark, in creepy rooms full of squid heads.

true, you better have mages with remove curse, or the cleric versionwhen you want to stop, but this might be a good way to have berserker enrage for short, very special situations.

and i think bastard sword, so dual wield with good weapon, like flametongue or spectral brand...

kensais are better killers than berserkers or barbis, (can you tell I am not impressed by barbi kit?? sorry, guys...)
but the enrage is such a nice ability to be immune to all mindcontrol and immobile effects for short duration, enrage, is so cool...
They call me Darth...

it's a two hander. no dual wield.

never thought to try it to see if the bezerking ability (the sword's) is that good, you may be right on that, but i don't quite understand why it would be so, unless it's a programme shortcut.

Sorry, no such luck with the sword. The only affect the sword has is 'Beserk' with a timing mode of 'while equipped' which makes the wielder randomly attack those around him (or just randomly walk around) and generally act disagreeable. It does not have any Prot from Effect Effects associated with it, as the actual bezerker innate spells do.
