Nasty Shadow Thief after killing Aran Linvail

Post by gregor »

I have done UNTOLD damage to a shadow thief that pops up after you kill Aran Linvail. I can't remember her name but when her status is 'near death' I can never finish her off. She can kill a character instantly, with the first hit no matter how many hp they have, and from across the room. I keep her busy with summons and pound on her but nothing. I have done hundreds of points to her....has anyone beat her???!!!

No, that is one of the games defences to stop people to do things that destroy the game line, Like siding with either Aran or Bodhi and try to kill then before going to Spellhold, he even stays after returning to the mainland and you try to kill Aran (that is the only part that I dont undestand, Aran being alive or dead after the spellhold does not matter anymore, must have been something that was overlooked).

Maybe Aran is scheduled on being part in the expansion, so they felt they had to keep him alive for continuity of the storyline in any saved game. Just a thought.

Maybe they need Aran to stay alive because a player might need his assasins as an ally to help you with the last Bodhi dungeon. Becuase it is possible that maybe you don't meat with the order of the radiant heart or drizzt. (even though i though you had to meet drizzt so that doesn't make sence... oh well just a thought)

I have already killed Bohdi, in fact I am mopping up using the save before my 'final save'. You can not imprison Arkanis either.
