Dark Side of Tales of the sword coast

Post by prateek »

instead of starting a new game, I just plan to export/import my character into the saved game they provided me...

When should I start playing though? I think I read somewhere that this was meant for characters after lvl 7 or so, but the party in the saved game starts out only after chapter five, and with lvl 4 or 5 chars...........

So when do you think I should start playing?

I did Durlag's tower around lvl 6 and I had a hard enough time. A good thief is what you really need for the tower, lvl 6 minimum.
You can always start with the other expansion quests though. They're not nearly as rough as Durlag's tower.

You don't really require high level characters for DSoTSC, though it will help with the xp cap remover. A lvl 5 - 6 thief and mage in the party is sufficient to kick serious butt in DSoTSC. If not, you can always try levelling up (if you have a prior saved game) by completing Durlag's Tower as suggested by Coot before venturing/exporting the characters over.
