Possible bug, but TONS of gold...did not cheat.

Here's what happened to me one fine day just after arriving in the UnderDark...

(1) My party is at reputation 16 (for item price purposes), and I had bought the glasses of identification early in the game.
(2) I rescued Thendle Baglefodd's son from the imprisonment crystal.
(3) I then went to the svirfneblin village.
(4) I found Baglefodd senior, told him I had rescued his son, and bartered with him.
(5) He bought the glasses of ID for 15,290,566 GP!!!!
(6) He then sold them back to me for 2,700 GP!

Did I just enter the Twilight Zone?

It's a bug...get the patch and it will supposely stop this..
