That bg2 aint fun anymore. Ive seen ToB's ending like 4 times and Ive cheated all da way. I may only have to challenge myself of the roleplaying aspect rather than the game.

Turn back to roleplaying ways then. Better late than never. :)

Cheating does take wind out of the sails of a game, doesn't it? I mean, you bought it, you can do whatever you like with it, provided you don't give or sell a copy to somebody else. But if you cheat, of course reaching the top is going to provide less of a sense of accomplishment. God-walking through BG2 offers no challenge. ;)

Try setting it on the highest difficulty level, and playing with characters that you think are harder to use. Make Haer'dalis your tank. :D Make Jan your primary spellcaster, Nalia your primary thief. *Those* kinds of things will definitely make the game a challenge.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

cheating seems like a waste of time...I mean, it's not like you even have to play the game! If you really don't want a challenge, just leave it on the shelf! Make your life easy by not even playing! :D ;) ...of course I'm not meaning to insult you, sorry  :) .

anyway, I think, to get the best out of BG2 it helps to have played real D&D before...I'm sure I would have cheated many times, had I been viewing it just as a PC game, but having played AD&D in real life before, there was a kind of little Angeel figure on my shoulder all the time, guiding me and making sure I stayed on the good rolepaying path at all times.... So if you haven't played D&D before, nows the time...I'm sure it'll cure you of all your bad PC gaming habits :)

In a game like BG, cheating to a certain extend, can be fun, but depends on how you do it.

I cheat for fun, not to cheat myself of the fun.

We all have shadowkeepers, but more oftenly that is used to correct certain game disappointments or wrong moves than to create a godlike character.

Munchin, for anyone who knows rp character steroetypes knows this guy... Casts spells like : "Smite ruler and transfer loyalty of populace" or the ever popular "Assume godhood" basicly a really underhanded user of cheese who manipulated the game rules in such a way as to be able to beat 400 ancient red dragons with a lvl 1 bard, then resurects them as familiars, all of them

Munchins have to be respected for there cunning, unfortunatly in tob and soa its oh so much easier to cheat, a simple CLUAConsole:makecharintolivinggod command and its all over, or is it?

Now I make no acusation as I am both a filthy cheeser a total rp spiritless coward and all round CLUA / Sk using munchkin but I do enjoy a "Real" game every now and then, though the urge to cheat is always there.. My tip to any chronic cheat is to run to seperate games, one where you cheat and one where you dont.. everytime you feel like cheating in your normal game load the cheating game and raise some hell

This also works to get an "evil fix" if your playing a good party

The worst I can be accused of is cheese due to playing the game to much (knowing things are going to happen and preparing for them)

But, the first few times through, NEVER ruin your first few times through. You only get to be suprised by encounters once, and so you can only enjoy the shock of it once.

yeah, cheaating too much, like addint too much magic resist, is self defeating, but seeing what the game will accept as legit, like taking advantaage of the kensai attaack and to hit bonuses being stored as an affect lines instead of class bonus, which you would lose once you sk to sroc, is very fun, and will keep you enertained..I like playing my cheesed beyond belief classes, thinking of trying kensai cleric mage again, this time as kensai, and mage and priest of lathander...yes, you can apply tow kits if you know how...

or a monk cleric and mage...
too powerful, the magic resist alone will make it unstoppable...

but monk mage would be fun, think quivering palm and lower resit...

OOOPPPPSSS!!!!

big time out and warning, never attempt monk cleric!!!

free action spell or ring will break monk auto haste class bonus!!! no fix from bioware and balderdash...rats....

well, got some good ideas for kensai cleric mage...

i know it's very hard not to cheat after u've don it one time :D .
that's way i always play it firts game trough without cheating.
well i try too :D

but i don't think a overpowered char. is cheating, i think creating and playing such an oiverpowerd char. is one of the best parts of the game.
just let your creativity go and make an unbeateble char. that is just great! :D :D
