I'm gonna tell you outright being as you've got the same taste in games as me. You like IE games(BG series) and you hate hack n' slash Diablo. PoR is basically hack n' slash with ridiculously large dungeons(most of the game) and parties. I hate the game. I bought it used for $20 so I wasn't so mad when the bugs finally got to me and I gave up, never finishing the game. And if you're into proper use of D&D rules as in BG series, you'll cry when you see how they've watered down some character types, and beefed up others. They left out Druids and Bards, made Rangers useless, and Clerics became one of the most powerful classes in the game. Rangers are my favorite class in IWD so it was criminal what they did to 'em in PoR and Also you don't get to choose your feats, and there's no dual wielding... what's 3E without dual wielding. Damn they screwed up this game. Any other questions just ask.
