Another attacks per round question

Post by (-) »

How many attacks per round can a fighter reach? At one point in the game Mazzy had 9/2 attacks per round with a short bow, but now she has 4. How many levels does a fighter need to reach in order to get another 1/2 attack per round?

Level based attacks top out at 2 primary hand (plus 1 offhand if dual wielding). you can get an extra 1/2 out of specialization. There is also belm for an extra 1 attack per round and gauntlets of extraordinary specialization for an extra 1/2. so all told you'd wind up with 5. You could also reach 5 with the tuigan bow pl us gauntlets.

Of course imp haste doubles your attacks, and whirlwind just gives 10 flat out. There is also the grandmastery hack/patch which some use which increases the bonuses for weapon specialization.

When reaching lvl 7 and 13 u also get another ½ attack per round. Sometimes boots of speed has improved my chars attacks by a ½, but not always. Seems a little strange ? Anyway, u get more attacks with a bow than a normal weapon... i believe.

Well if you get belm (that scimitar with +1 attack per round) and that one from the bonus merchant in the slums..forget what it is called...scarlet ninja-to?...that also adds +1 attack..and are specialized in both weapons you can get to 6 attacks per round..assumming of course you have them niffty gloves. And actually at that point improved haste works better than whirlwind attack as with the improved haste you get 12 attacks per round. Only down side is the two weapons sort of suck once you get into ToB.

Can't use that ninja-to unless you're a monk. You'd need to do fighter thief and take use any item to make that work. Of course you wouldn't want to actually use this combo by then cause there are much better weapons.

ok didnt realize that that ninja-to was monk only..and aye are much better weapons..still 6 attacks could have some uses for dealing with trash stuff..like them out in the oasis in Tob and so forth.

I mean do you REALLY need that 30% MR from purifier to deal with spiders? Course just going off here..havent checked it out but i suppose a blade dual using both in offensive spin and with improved haste could do some unreal damage aginst spiders :P (4attacks from weapons,1/2 from gloves, 1 from spin, double all for I haste = 11 per round and at max damage - throw in T. tranformation for better Hps and THA0C) LOL but are easier ways to deal with them pesky spiders :P

You can use scarlet ninja-to with UAI, if you are a thief...

Anyway, regardless of your equipment, YOU CAN'T have more than 5 attacks/round, unless hasted, in which case you can have UP TO 6.

And with Improved Haste you can have 10, which is really the MAXIMUM supported by the engine.
