That weapon is just a normal Holy avenger sword, there are not many but its not a unique item.
Bioware just decided to give it a name.
Also Daystar is nothing more that a sun blade with some story behind it.
Note some things about those AD&D weapons were left out in BG II since it was impossible to implement.(a holy avenger can be used by anyone that can wield a sword but unless its a paladin it behaves like a normal +3 weapon without those skills and bonus, that is hard to implement in the game.)
