In light of Hollywood's recent interest in comicbook superheroes, I was wondering which, out of all the more prominent superheroes out there in the Marvel and DC universe, is your favorite one. Not everybody vote Spiderman!

X-Men (and all of its associated spin-offs) has long been my favourite comic book and although Wolverine is generally the favourite and most consistently well-written of the series, I've alwasy been partial to Cable (telepathy, telekinesis, orbital battlestation, teleport device, time travel, half-cybernetic and on-body computer) and X-Force.
Jesus saves! And takes half damage!

My favorite superhero must be a vilain.
I'd say Frieza from Dragonball Z but since he is a bad guy, I'm going for Vegeta. He is cool, most characters from DB-Z are very well thought about. He rocks!

But who is this Green Latern guy?!?!?!

When I was a kid, I liked Spiderman because he was funny, always spreading ironic jokes around while fighting gangsters. I also liked that he was kind of depressed and had a lot of relationships problems as Peter Parker, and that you got to see that side of him in the comics.

I also liked the Silver Surfer, mostly because he looked cool and surfed the wind.

I was never fond of Superman nor X-men.

I don't remember anything about him except that he is green, but he's another of Marvel comics superheroes.

I like Buffy.

I can't put myself into a man's mind to imagine I am superman or batman... *shrugs* That's why I tend to like female superhero's.

I always liked Phoenix from the X-Men. Cool powers and a well written character. Storm was also a favorite along with Nightcrawler, something about the sense of humor :)

@ Robhin-Green Lantern was a DC comics character who had a ring that emitted some kind of green energy. He could form that energy into objects and manipulate them from a short distance.

Right T', he was a DC not a Marvel. Here is a bio and a picture:

There has been more than one Green Lantern. The ring has passed to more than one person, and for a while they even had a Green Lantern Corps with multiple Green Lanterns at once. :)

I choose Other, and I see how you all want to treat Mighty Mouse, yes he was on the short side and had an weakness for cheese, but come on, NO ONE can compare to the Mouse of Steel.

there is a council that created the rings to protect the universe, so there are several out there and they get passed on frequently as one dies.

all of the X-men are favorites, those were the only comics i collected, wolverine being the best.
and it's hard to beat the granddaddy o fthem all - SUPERMAN!
I would be a serial killer if i didn't have such a strong distaste for manual labor
