how do i make potions? Alchemy skill

ok i have collected some ingrediants from plants and now i want to make a potion out of them... how do i make potions?

I collected a cup and some paper but i still cant seem to mix anything when i put the items on the paper or the goblet i have.

I seem to have read something about needing a mortar aswell..dunno if that helps you, miss vixen. Be surprised if you hadn't thought of that already
