I'm currently soloing a monk and are half way through the shadow temple quest. after resurrecting Ama... with the bones found at the start we have a chat and she wants me to kick ass and says she is going to give me the dragon ward stone- she doesn't, nor does she give me the Dawn? (she did when I played with a party) stone to complete the symbol of light (so now I can't finish the quest as I can't open the door to dragons room).
Is this a bug?, can I get these items using cheats, if so what are the codes.
Another thing, is it possible to kill the demi-lich before going into the underdark (i.e in chapter 3) while soloing a monk- are their any +4 weapons available to me (can't use staffs) (daystar doesn't work even though it is +4 vs. 'evil creatures'- surely demi lich is evil?)
Cheers.

The item codes are:
Shadow Dragon Wardstone - MISC6P
Dawn's Light Symbol - KEY05

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Solo machine
Sojourner, cheers, that should clear that mess up, back to demolishing everyone. Solo monk is pretty easy, you level up so quickly and with the ring of kangaxx and personal magic resistance while still in Ch. 3 makes for an easy game. Are their any challenging fights later in the game that a monk is not suited to.
By the way, what does 'move silently' mean?

Re: Solo machine
Presumably, it means the ability to move without any noise. As it seems to be implemented in the game, it affects your ability to remain hidden once you successfully enter Stealth Mode. Both Hide In Shadows and Move Silently need to be fairly high to stay hidden for long periods of time.Originally posted by Archeron

@Archeron: About the demi-lich
highlight the following for spoiler concerning obtaining +4 weapon before Chapter 3:
Go to the Druid Grove. You can get Flame Tongue there off Faldorn's henchmen.
@Sojourner: In BGI, Stealth wasn't split up between Move Silently and Hide in Shadows. I was disappointed to find I had to spend (much needed) thieving points in both for BGII.
