Strength to open locked doors

Post by Archeron »

Can all locked doors, chests etc (besides the magical ones) be forced open. What sorts of strengths are required to open most doors, and presumably there is a relationship between whats behind the door and what sort of strength is required to open it. As I am soloing a monk, knowing this would be real handy so I know when to drink strength potions and not waste them as monks have no lock pick ability.

Forcing open a door is alot harder than picking it open. Sometimes with 25 strenght of crom fayer I still can't force open some.

What I do is that I ignore them all for that particular area or dungeon if I am in Alkatha, and once I completed that quest area, I will get Jan to open them, then remove him from the party. He be waiting at his home when I need him again.

Yeah thats what I have been doing with yosh to get the ring of Kangaxx etc, sort of sucks cos its not 'true' solo play which is what I wanted to do, never mind can't have it all my way as I don't want to dual or multi in a solo game.
