Help with walking & running speed

Post by happyclappy »

Does anyone know where I can find a mod that increases your running and walking speed? I'm really fed up with the depressingly slow speed you walk at!! The only thing I've found to help with this is to choose your birthsign as the Steed.

Any help much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

The only other thing that I know right now is to keep your weight as low as possible. It's the blue meter in the upper left corner of the character screen when looking at the inventory. Don't know if that helped but that's all I know at this point.

you can use the TES editor. gameplay/settings/gameplay then change the value of fMaxWalkSpeed or someting like that.

or you can use the 0 duration bound bug. what is does is permanantly increase your speed stat when you have a bound boot spell made with a 0 duration. be careful though as this is permanant and if you get it too high the game will become unplayable. myself, I don't believe in *cheats* except in experimentation but I have used this when I was trying to see how enchant worked. I increaded my speed high enough that I could use walk constantly and it was fast enough that I never got fatigued. again I really feel any explotation ruins the game except short term data gathering.

Thanks for the prompt responses :)
I agree with you, Biljac - I was hoping that there was something in-game that would resolve this issue :(

There are mods already posted that increase walking and/or running speed. You might check the main Morrowind website for the location of some of those fan boards featuring mods.

You can be born under the sign of the Steed - +25 points to Strenght. I really don't feel like its an issue once you build your speed characteristic up, even without that birth sign.
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....
