Help needed with Urshilaku Quest

Post by Mercury »

Greetings

I'm doing the Urshilaku Quest (main) and was searching the burial chambers southeast of the camp for the Bonebiter Bow off Sul-Matuul twice, checking every corner, flying up every rock but still I can't find that bow. Please tell me where exactly I have to get it.
Or am I at the wrong cave maybe? The journal says to go look for it in the "Urshilaku Burial Chambers" and I found a dungeon with burial sites S-SE of the Urshilaku camp, but the door there is "only" named Urshilaku. Might it be that there are TWO of those caverns and I was just in the wrong one? Hard to imagince because the location is where the journal sent me to.
Thanks for any info about what I am doing wrong.... :)

youre probably at the wrong tomb (name starts with an "L", i think) i went to that one by mistake. the Ancestral Burial Tomb of the Urshilaku is S SW from there. not too much further. the name on the door should contain something like "Ancest. Burial" it's been a few days since i did that one so i dont remember exactly. the ancestral burial tomb is way different and longer than other tombs. it contains twisting rock bridges and waterfalls, cool lighting, and lots of gargoyle-like mummies (they arent monsters, just decoration).

Okay, I now got the bow! I was in the right tomb, at the right place, killed the right mob (ancestor ghost in the top burial cave of the big spiral stairs), BUT what I didn't noticed first was that his corpse seemed to disappear in one of the stonearchs (cause he had his back against it while fighting). I loaded an pretty old savegame and fought my way thru once again, making sure I waste that ghost in the middle of the room. And then he dropped what I was looking for :p

Hey--I'm stuck in the same part. You mean it's in that room that there's some stairs but you have to levitate to the top to get into that door at the very top?

yep its all the way at the top through the door and on the spirit. as was stated previously, he looks just like an ancestral ghost and the bow is on his corpse.

I went through the tomb earlier and killed everything. I must not have checked that ghosts corpse and now when I went back there are no ghost respawns. Hope I didn't screw myself over and make it so I can't finish the main quest...

it would be a design flaw to have a named monster's corpse despawn. sorry, man. worst case, pop open the tes editor and drop the bow manually.

Suggestion:

While in that dungeon search every single lil corner 'cause there's some pretty stuff hidden here and there, included the Magebane, a nice 2 handed glass sword worth 30+ k

Hint: Learn to fly ;)

Can anyone please give me a quick walkthrough on how to use the editor to drop a weapon into the game? Been confused for a few hours now.

note: you can get to that door by jumping up rocks too, but levitation will net you much booty in that dungeon. I always like to put on a plain brown robe and pose with that Magebane and say "your powers are weak, old man" "if you strike me down I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."
May you walk on warrrrm sannd....

You don't need to levitate, it's the top door of the spiral staircase (Juno burial if I remember right). In that room walk up the ramp till the end of the cave where you will see some stonearchs and a ghost attacking you (name of the ghost is Sul). After he is dead the bow is on his corpse. Just make sure to get it the first time, beause when I didn't loot (it was stuck in a wall) and realised some hours later that I missed it and went back, the corpse was gone and he did NOT respawn like the skeletons. So I had to load a very old savegame and lost about 4hrs of gameplay....
