Team:
Cavalier(Paladin kit)
Monk
Barbarian
And some mages to
Don't let Firekrag(or whats his name?)get pissed on you, so he attacks you, but kill him before. You know.
Somewhere is there a women who needs help, where Firekrag are. If you help her, are she and some other going to kill you, but before that can you find a Dragonslayer sword, and a shield also a helm, all stuff are to the Cavalier, or just a fighter class.

RE:
What level are you? and do you have a good mage-type character? All you have to do is keep the protection and haste spells off the dragons (using Breach, Spell Thrust and so on) and make sure your characters are protected wth your best magic (element protection, hast, chant, etc). Summoning creatures are good, too. When the Dragon hits you with its initial Wing Buffet, you can then send in summoned stuff to keep dragon busy for party to regroup.
Anyhoo, plenty of topics here to explain heavy tactics. Check the search option.

I killed that red dragon using very simple way. I summoned couple creatures(if u summon a lot he'll figure out that u gonna attack him and attacks u himself), then i took evey "fighting" char and put them close to the dragon ; and took all chars who can use wands(wand of heavens, wand of lightning), and put them away from the dragon, so he cant reach them. Then i began to use all the wands on him(flame str. and lightning), dragon's magic resist is high, but still u can hurt him a lot with those wands. And with help pf melee chars and creatures u summoned he's dead in a minute.
@dolphin's pretty much got my usual tactic down, just make sure you're buffed to the teeth and drink every stat enhancing potion you can lay your sweaty hands on. i've heard many cheese tactics, but it's easier in some ways just to give him all you've got in one almighty blast. luck plays a big part too, though. if it works, he dies quickly and messily, if you start taking casualties you're buggered.

I'm soloing for the first time, usin Fighter/Mage/Thief.
I have TOB installed so I can use high level abilities.
I took me 10 secs to kill the dragons.
I laid 1 Time trap and when they became hostile I just used Greater whirlwind and *chop* *chop* dead Dragon
Ps: I dual wield Katanas (Celestial Fury & Dak'kon's Zerth Blade)

There's some great advice above, and the only thing I would add to it would be how to deploy your melee characters properly. Surround the dragon on all sides with your fighter types. Place your best hitter/damager behind Firkraag, and the others on the sides, and in front. His initial wing buffet will miss those behind. Before you attack, be sure you are buffed up to the max - bless, haste, draw upon Holy Might, Luck, heroism potions, regeneration potions, resistance spells/potions, strength potions/girdles, AC boosters, and so on. If you have a bard, put him off to the side somewhere where Firkraag won't notice, and have him start playing his tune.
Spread your mages & archers out, and hammer him with breach, pierce, spell strike, and secret word spells. You can even be a little nasty and lower his magic resistance at the outset, and then nail him repeatedly with magic missles if you like. I enjoy doing that, heh. I don't like cheese tactics that much, and using this method, I've dropped him with no losses - except singed hair. My first go-around with him was tough, though. I had to re-load a few times in order to win. But once you do, you'll never worry about ol' Fir again.

Hi
May I suggest you not resort to cheese. It makes the battle way to easy.
Major spoiler.
If your party is around 11th-15th level should be a cake walk. It fels great when afther he bad mouths Gorion, you tell him I'm goung to kill you. Then kill him and the mage. He will put up a stoneskin then cast dispel or remove magic (1st rd). Then he will either wing buff or dragon breath (2nd rd). Then he will do the other, if he used the wings ealier he will now use the breath (3rd rd). This depends on how many mages you have. I like to carry four. The lowest summons something as close to the dragon. The other three nail him with Lower Resistence. He is now wide open for magic assault. The two tanks melee the mage ( who used contingencies and tatoo for protection from normal weapons & missle protection ). Round 2 the summoned creature runs to the opposit side of the dragon staying as close as possible to the dragon. All mages unload with minor and spell squenchers. (for me it is normally 3 minor and 1 spell that is 45 MM in the air). Oh the mage dies from the tanks. 3rd round if he used the wing on round two send summon creature back infront of him. He wil breath on him. Toasty critter oh well that is what they are for. The dragon cathes 25 more MM one from a minor squelcher. I tossed in a shot from the ring of the ram with one of the tanks. Anyway the dragon is dead.
This may not work for you, but I replayed the battle from the saved game 6 times outcome always the same.

The way I killed Firkraag was rather cheesy. I summoned a heap of creatures and started hammering him with magic missiles and lightning bolts without talking to him. He stayed blue until he was almost dead but by the time he was actually retaliating, the damage was done and I was not hit at all. The thing I found is if you kill him without first starting the conversation to make him go red, the game doesn't acknowledge that he's dead.

Really? I don't use cheesy tactics, I just get buffed up and put my melee squad in place before I attack. I never summon a horde of creatures; I just buff up and get in position. I haven't encountered the problem you're speaking of yet, and I've played through the game about 3 times. Weird.

My favoured method (only done it once though) was to lower his magic resistance and cast Greater Malison on him (I always have 2 mages, even if one of them is multi-class like Aerie) and usually Doom too, then in the next round Feeblemind him.
It would have worked like a charm except that my mage hit him with the Staff of the Magi and dispelled the Feeblemind .

Hehe I did that once too. It was hilarious to see the big dragon just sit there while I killed him with a few Chromotic Orb'sOriginally posted by Ode to a Grasshopper

Yeah, feeblemind always paid off for me in a one-two punch with lower resistance....but the last couple times I've tried not to do that...it seems a little too easy. Once again, protection from fire/magic scrolls seem to do the trick. Haste is a must.....potions of invisibility for the thief so he/she can backstab....potions, potions, and more potions.....lower resistance/greater malison are also musts...
