Rylock? What Rylock? Who's Rylock?

Post by Aubrey »

Hi all.

Is there anyone who can tell me who's Rylock?

Every now and then I read on the subtitles screen:

Rylock -- Tatto of Power - Spell Immunity
Rylock -- Protection from electricity
Rylock -- Melf's Minute Meteors
Rylock -- Protection from Magic Energy
Rylock -- Stoneskin
Rylock -- Armor
Rylock -- Protection from electricity (again???)
Rylock -- Protection from Magic Energy (again?)
Rylock -- Armor

...but there is no one. The first time I read it, I thought, "Now he'll appear... Now... I know he's coming... (*looking around suspiciously*) Come on! ...Eeek! Where is he?"

This Rylock never came up, but I keep still reading his preparations on screen. Any ideas?

TIA

Cheers

I might be wrong here but I think that Rylock is either the man who is poisoned and you return him to the Harper Hold or is the man who receives the poisoned man!
Strange, I've never seen those preparations you mention.

SPOILERS

@Aubrey, Rylock is indeed the guy in front of the Harper Hold that you take the poisoned man to for the Harper quest, and the spells he activates are part of the Solaufein romance mod. There's an optional component to give mages a bit more of a fighting chance, but it affects all NPC mages, including ones you're not likely to fight. You'll probably find Ribald in the Adventurers Mart doing the same thing.
There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't.
I think I think, therefore I might be.
