Giving thanks to Sabre and Sojourner.

Post by Ode to a Grasshopper »

I was just thinking about how generally nice and helpful Sojourner and Sabre have been to everyone who has had a BG2 problem over the months I've been here. These two really have been amazing, and I reckon they deserve to get some recognition for all their efforts. A couple of times lately I've noticed Sojourner has invited people with serious problems to email her their saved game files so she can fix them up, and it struck me that this is just an incredibly nice thing to do. :) The patches over at Sabre's website have made my BG2 gaming a much more enjoyable experience, so I'm just writing this to say thank you to these two always cheerful, generous and helpful people.

@Fable-If you think this is too spam-like for the BG2 forum feel free to delete/close it, I just felt that these two deserved some thanks for all their efforts.

I agree with Ode: if you have some trouble e.g. with CLUA coding, you can always depend on these 2 to solve it. Many thanks to Sabre and Sojourner.

Great idea to post this Jim, I hope they apriciate(sp?) it.
I surely do, apriciate their help, and the help they give to others.
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

You're welcome, happy to help. My site is a small thing when you look at all of those Mods that are available out there - I'm having enough trouble with trying to add one character in the game, let alone a whole quest/romance.

Couldn't agree with you more on this one - so I'll add my thanks to Sojourner as well, for giving up her time to help others.

it's people like them that make the world a better place

and the porn industry of course :D
Ancient times they had no statistics so they had to fall back on lies

"I'm invinceable"
"your a loony"

I'd rather be rich than stupid.

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

You're welcome, of course! And thank you, Sabre, as well. :) Gee, I'm speechless...
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I agree! The two of you do a great service to the rest of the BG world.

*big round of applause*

Now it's about time we made their statues and placed them in the village square -- you know, like the Trademeet Heroes? :D

It was very nice of Ode to bring this issue up. It's true that Sabre and Sojourner are very kind and helpful, and I'm sure they know how much we appreciate them for all their efforts. :)

Okay, gentlemen. I feel a bit gloomy right now. I feel we should establish an Order, a Fraternity, whatever...

Cheers
