Silver hilt

Leaving the elves camp at the start of chap.5 sidetracked thru the pass and then the forest of Tethyr(?). Near the cave fought with the group who are trying to get their silver blade back from me. Defeated them and found the hilt on one of them. However had understood, this hilt was to be found in another place? Are there 2?

I actually ran into that group in the Docks area.So I strongly suspect that the location could be anywhere and the encounter is more to do with how long it is since you left the Underdark.Also what use would two hilts be with only one blade.

Well, I read here that you can find BOTH groups, if you got the hilt in the underdark you will get a sword in the Harbor(in fact they can appered any place in Athkatla) that can only be use by a anti-paladin.

Well i definately picked up the hilt to the silver blade in the docks

yes, if you did not found the first group in underdark, you will get the hilt insted of the sword.

ya'll are talking about the githyanki right? i ran into a group in the underdark in the mind flayer city. being the honorable good guy i helped them escape and then killed the elder brain. when i got out of the city the bastards demanded that i give them the blade, naturally i refused and was forced to kill them. but i didnt find the hilt or the unholy reaver on them.

You can run into them 4 times in the game.

.
2. In the Mindflayer Dungeon in the Underdark.
.
3.After you finish with the Drow city.
.
4.Sometime after you meet Drizzt . In my case everytime I went to the Docks.
