Help me...how do you dispose of loot??? Help me!!!

Post by UserUnfriendly »

ok, i am a neatness freak, am happy to admit it, but not in real life, just in my mind...cluttered thoughts drive me buggy, so i need to know is there a way to dispose of items in the game so they are removed from the saved game file????

i thought i had it with putting them inside corpses of animals i killed, and disposing of the corpse, but no, after i went and posted the discovery, found out it actually puts it back into inventory...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
need a place to dispose of all my mistakes in enchanting stuff....

help me....anybody ever asked the developers???pls fable???

actually, it might have a slight benefit of reducing saved game file sizes, so well worth knowing.....

Drop it in a chest, barrel, urn, crate... Get the idea... All of the containers in the world can be used to store or trash items

I tested this just to see what would happen...

I dropped a bunch of stuff into the (Odai?) river running through Balmora while I was flying above the surface. I went in after to try and find them and they were gone. I've run into clipping problems before in Morrowind (especially in Vivec...grrr!!!), so it's possible that the items remained there under the surface of the riverbed. However, I couldn't detect them at all...even with spells. Maybe the items dropped into water are "disposed of" or maybe Levitating had something to do with the items disappearing. *shrug* Might be worth a shot, anyway. Try it and let us know :)

cool, now this explains something...once dropped a bunch of items into river, had them disappear, but later on, when i dropped while wading in, they were there...

now i can get rid of some enchant items mistakes and temporaty booster items...items you use to get saints, for example...
