Funniest NPC

Post by Oblivion »

Who do you think is the funniest NPC?

I think Edwin with his paranoia and his voice. The dialoge with Arie is one of the best, when she confronts him and ask why he is talking to himself.

Jan gets my vote too. Does anyone remember the "Are you a drow?" dialogue he has with Viconia? :D

JAN JAN JAN JAN

he is always in my party

a thief that is as good a he needs to be and can cast spells with armor and lots of good equipment already and can make cool ammo for cross bows

and he is a funny little Gnome

i laugh when i rad some of his lines

i especialy like his deaf/lip reading with Viconica
Ancient times they had no statistics so they had to fall back on lies

"I'm invinceable"
"your a loony"

I'd rather be rich than stupid.

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.

I vote for Minsc!
Altough "Edwin do this, Edwin do that... somebody hand this jerk a banana!" makes Edwin a heal close contender
"No one expects the Brazilian Inquisitor!"
Abazigal: "Oh my god! They killed Yaga-Shura!"
Sendai: "You bastards!"

I have to go with minsc. My reason simple. The scene when you introduce minsc to the pirate lord on spellhold.

My vote goes to...the writer who managed to reproduce several different styles of humor in these characters: scathing sarcasm for Edwin, fantastical whimsy for Jan, off-the-wall good humor for Minsc, creative obscenity for Korgan, dry wit for Jaheira, etc.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Goodness me, I started a thread just like this one on the SoA board a little while ago...

Jan appeals to my sense of the humor the most, though I must concur with fable that every NPC (like hamsters) has his or her day. Jan probably has had the most humorous effort put into his dialogue, though, so he receives my vote. :)
