Importing BG characters into ID, Is it possible?

I have been wondering if it would be possible to export my Baldur's Gate characters into my Icewind Dale game. I have a couple of fairly decent rangers, and would love to see how they perform in the ID game. If anyone knows how to do this, PLEASE tell me.

You can't do that. BG characters cannot be in IWD.

Sorry Gaxx.... I am new here, 'Twas my first post. I asked only because it is the same basic format, and I had gotten a character or two that I had generated up to a respectable level, and wondered how they would fare in ID. Thanks for the info anyway.

Welcome to Gamebanshee pls1968. But Gaxx is right, no porting characters from BG to IWD I'm afraid. You could use dalekeeper to recreate your characters though.
