Kangaxx bug?

Post by beaver_cheese »

Okay, I believe this is a bug, but I'm just posting it here to make sure; I got the two golden body parts for Kangaxx, wiped the floor with the minotaurs, and went down to start a grand tussle. I use protection from undead scrolls, rap on Kangaxx's tomb, and start swinging my sword. Lo and behold, he stands there while I do damage to him. However, after several minutes... I notice something wrong; The lich is still standing! By now, I've done more than 200++ damage, all in short order. Isn't he supposed to bite the dust now? And does anyone know of a CLUAConsole command that tells you the remaining HP on monsters? Or how about one that just kills monsters outright (I'm not in the mood for replaying... again...)? Thanks in advance
...ewwwww. What is bad smell? You been killing dragons?

Eh? Could you run that through me again? Do you mean to say that as long as the protection from undead scroll is in effect, Kangaxx won't die? Then why did it work with the other liches?

Because he has to talk to you before he dies the first time.

Protection from undead makes undead ignore you. Kangax has something to say before dying. If he's ignoring you, then he can't say what he has to, so he won't die.

Kind of a bug. I agree with you.

I encountered the same problem with Bhodi. Put protection from undead on my main character, killed all undead around her and hacked her for some minutes (must have been some 1000 points of damage...), but she refused to die... weird, isn't it?

Something similar happens with the mage in the Planar Sphere. I hit him so hard and fast, he was "dead" before dialogue started. But, with him lying on the floor defenseless, he wouldn't talk to me and wouldn't die.

Right, that happened to me, too. I think in my case the problem was that I sent in two fire elementals and let them hack on him before he started his dialogue. It seems as long as certain NPC's can't dialogue with you they won't die. Thank god this isn't true for dragons...
