Thanx for reading!!
I guess this game has some serious issues with bugs, or otherwise I have invested in a new graphic card in vain...
First, does anyone experience problems w/ the magic menu; when I try to highlight a new spell I get the message "Do you wish to delete Greater Fireball?"
This happens most of the time, but for some reason it sometimes works when I exit to windows and reload the game. It is highly frustrating... Perhaps there is just some capslock "on" that disables/enables this function... Does anyone know anything...??
Secondly, the computer freezes every 30 minutes or so if I have a bad day w/ a lot of combat (a lot of action on the screen etc.)
I can only guess that unplugging the computer (from the wall)time after time with that ominous sound of everything collapsing roaring in my ears is bad for my digitally invested $1000. After that the blue screen of error searching comes along and makes me uneasy. Is it really good for my computer??
Doesn't people react to this?? I mean, Morrowind is the most fun I've hade with my computer since Icewind Dale, but it´s not worth $1000... What does Bethesda think about things like this?? Do they care?
Well, any thoughts...?
Thanx/Iolo

well don't know about the spell issue that you have.
But you shouldn't complain about the freezing, from what I read on the boards and from what I know myself, Morrowing is a game that requires a pretty powerfull computer to run it on without any slowdowns. Since you didn't say what your comp specs are I can't say whether that is the reason behind all the freezing you have, but I'm pretty sure that it is, why don't you check out the requirements for running this game and compare them with your own, BTW don't look at the minimum requirements look at the recommended cause people who have only minimum, but not recommended have slowdowns as well, also try updating all your drivers, specially video card drivers, and go to video options and decrease some of the graphics, these things should help.

i also had the same spell problem as you and i finally realised it was due to my shift-key behavign weird. (probably a result of my immense running-around-all-over-the-place-for-hours-without-autorun gaming style) simply pressing shift a couple of times solved my problem. (holding shift while clicking gets ypou the "delete spell?" message)

thanx for the spell-jinx-hint!!
My spec are perhaps not the best (P667, 32M GeForce, well it's OVER A YEAR OLD...!!) and the game is a bit slow so I reduce the horizon etc. However, I don't mind the lagging or the slow game speed... All I care about is the safety my computer. If the game would exit to Windows every 30 minutes I wouldn't care - it's the total crashes of my entire system that bothers me (and frankly angers me a bit too...).
Cheers!!!

If the shift key solution doesn't work to dealing with "Do you want to delete ******* Spell?" then exit the game completely, and reload. Don't simply save and reload your game. Exit completely to the desktop, then load the game once more. That did the trick for me.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
iolodavanki well your computer is a bit slower then mine p3 1ghz 32mb GeForce 2 MX, if it runs slow on mine then yours will be even worse. The crashes might result from the fact that the system doesn't have enough resources to run the game, you probably have too many programs running I suggest before you start you shut down all the programs using ctrl-alt-delete, all you really need is systray and explorer, everything else can be shutdown while you play.
