Making Ground Items (Containers) Visible with Tab?

Post by dtyson »

Is there a way/patch/mod that allows me to make ground items/containers visible by hitting the tab key (or some other key)? I am playing SoA with the TDD (The Darkest Day) mod installed.

Thanks for any tips.

Ctrl-Tab works for me. (Press Ctrl, hold it down, and press Tab.) You might have to add the line "DebugMode=1" to your BALDUR.INI file before it will work (under "Program Options" ).

Thanks for the help, but it doesn't work (even with Debug Mode=1). I should note that I _don't_ have ToB installed. Perhaps ctrl+tab only works once ToB is installed?

I just checked. Ctrl-Tab illuminates containers only if you have TOB installed. Sorry. :)

You don't need to hold down Ctrl; Tab alone works fine (but only with ToB, of course).

So can it be done with _just_ SoA? If not, I am going to be VERY put out. (insert melodrama)

No; that feature was one of the things they added on to the Infinity Engine with IWD; it was not available to SoA, but was added in with ToB and will work in the SoA areas if and only if you have either ToB or a custom mod that adds the feature also installed.
